It's been one heck of a year, hasn't it? Aside from our country's momentous firsts in 2008- political, social, vegetable and mineral, Claymore has had several firsts in the past 12 months as well:
- First full year residing and performing in Chicago
- First live improv show
- First open-run show
- First film festival screenings
We would like to thank the talented groups we've had play with us in our 2008 shows, The Rabble, Victory at Sea, The Yachtsmen and Cave of Hobans. You guys are not only great improvisers, but great friends, and we appreciate you playing with us.
We want to thank Jonathan Rivlin for legitmizing Claymore with the Illinois and federal governments, and for all of his hard work.
And of course, we'd like to thank our families for not questioning our motives.
Come January 6, 2009, we will return to The Playground every Tuesday night at 10pm. You definitely won't want to miss our new lineup of opening groups. From January through March, we will have improv teams that have never before opened for Claymore, and some that will be making their stage debuts at our show.
Claymore can't wait for everything 2009 has to bring, and to share the gifts of the upcoming year with you. Won't you join us? In the meantime, please enjoy this gift:
